Oyo Government Declares Free Gate for Pacesetter Queens NWFL Debut

The Oyo State government has officially announced free entry for the upcoming Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) matchday three fixture between Pacesetter Queens and Rivers Angels.

Dependable NG reports that the announcement was made through the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Tuesday. The strategic move aims to encourage massive public support, promote women’s football within the state, and create a vibrant home atmosphere for the Pacesetter Queens.

Pacesetter Queens will face Rivers Angels at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Wednesday. The match will mark the Arewa Oyo’s first-ever appearance in front of their home fans in the NWFL since their maiden entry into the league.

The Queens are under pressure, having suffered defeats in their two opening fixtures against Adamawa Queens and Ibom Angels, respectively. The free gate access is expected to provide a substantial boost as they seek their first win of the season.
