Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State on Saturday attributed his successful return to office to the combined forces of the “special grace of God” and the “special favour” extended to him by President Bola Tinubu.

Dependable NG reports that Governor Fubara had been suspended for six months following a deep political crisis involving him, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and the state legislators. President Tinubu intervened, leading to Fubara’s reinstatement and the resolution of the conflict between the governor, Wike, and the lawmakers.

Fubara reflected on his political challenges: “Like you said, a report was given to us. But you all know what happened in the life of our administration. It is only by the special grace of God, the special favour from Mr President, that we are standing here still as the ones presiding over the affairs of Rivers State.”
