FCT Police Appeal for Help to Identify Unconscious Teenager in Abuja Hit-and-Run
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command of the Nigeria Police Force has launched an urgent public appeal for information to help identify a teenage boy who was the victim of a suspected hit-and-run accident in Abuja.
Dependable NG reports that the victim, estimated to be between 12 and 15 years old, was struck by a vehicle near the Apo Roundabout transformer. He was discovered lying unconscious around 8:00 p.m. on December 10, 2025, by two concerned passersby, Mr. Naziru Ibrahim and Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed. These two Good Samaritans immediately rushed the boy to Sahad Hospital in the Apo Resettlement area.
In a statement issued on Friday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the Command confirmed that the young male victim remains unconscious and that his identity is unknown. The statement noted that while investigations are ongoing to identify the boy and trace his family or guardians, public assistance is crucially needed.
The FCT Police Command called on well-meaning members of the public to provide any useful information that may assist in identifying the victim and reuniting him with his family. The police encouraged members of the public with any information or enquiries to contact the FCT Police Command Public Relations Officer on 07038979348 or report to the nearest police station.
