The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) has imposed severe sanctions on Ekiti Queens, ordering the club to play its home matches in Abeokuta and fining the club N2.5 million for assaulting match officials. The incident occurred during the team’s Matchday Three home clash against Edo Queens on Wednesday.

Dependable NG reports that Ekiti Queens lost the encounter 1-0, with Atume Doosuur scoring the decisive goal for Edo Queens in the 67th minute.
