BREAKING: Ex-Anambra Governor Chris Ngige Arrested in Abuja

A former Anambra State governor and immediate past Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has been arrested in Abuja.

Dependable NG reports that the former minister is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

This was confirmed in a statement obtained on Wednesday night and signed by his former media aide, Fred Chukwulobe. Chukwulobe issued the statement to dispel rumors circulating online that Ngige had been kidnapped.

He clarified the situation briefly, stating: “Former Governor of Anambra State and immediate past minister of labour and employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, is with the EFCC. More details later.”

Ngige was also recently in the news after his convoy was attacked by armed men in Anambra State. The former governor, however, was not present in the vehicle at the time of the attack.
