The PDP immediately leveraged the development, stating that the move by the two lawmakers is a clear indication of the severe internal problems, deepening crises, and leadership challenges currently affecting the APC in Zamfara State.

According to the party’s statement, the lawmakers chose the PDP because they were seeking stability, progress, and a better leadership platform. The party further claimed that the lawmakers were attracted and motivated by the exemplary leadership style of Governor Dauda Lawal, particularly praising his work on security, infrastructure, transparency, and overall governance in the state.
